Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Business Management Manager 2 to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The Business Management Manager 2 will support the Columbia IPS Operating Unit within the Marine Systems Business Unit in the Maritime / Land Systems & Sensors Division and report to the OU Business Manager.

This position is located out of Philadelphia, PA. A hybrid work schedule may also be considered at manager discretion

NOTE: This opportunity may be filled as either Manager 2 or Manager 1. There are two requisitions posted for this opportunity representing the one available position: R10061017- Manager 2 (current) and R10061012 - Manager 1.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate and lead all business management functions including but not limited to financial forecasting, Earned Value Management, monthly reporting, etc.
  • Provide direct management for a geographically dispersed team of Business Management analysts.
  • Provide financial business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with management as it relates to financial program status and analyses.
  • Support the development of the business strategy and forecasting, through internal or external deliverables such as the Long Range Strategic Plan and the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, implementation of EV reporting, program budgeting, estimate at complete development, and various financial reporting activities.
  • Coordinate cost and schedule analyses and preparation of reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon cost and schedule parameters and government cost control guidelines.
  • Develop proposals from draft RFP to award, including review of RFP, FAR clauses, coordination with subcontractor flow-downs, basis of estimates, indirect rates, pricing strategies, cash management, negotiation strategy and oversight, and presenting to Senior Management.
  • Manage risks with multiple contract types from both an execution and financial perspective.
  • Mentor Business Management Analysts and develop professional talent within the operating unit.

The manager will lead a team of program control professionals and will be responsible for related staffing, performance management and professional development activities

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with 9 years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, or program control - OR - a Masters degree as described with 7 years of industry related experience as described.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, and Business Warehouse (BW)
  • Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR
  • Prior experience with Earned Value Management
  • Prior experience with government program budgeting and forecasting, as well as Annual Operating Plan development
  • Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management.
  • Prior experience in proposal preparation and BOE preparation and evaluations.
  • The willingness and ability to travel domestically 10-15% of the time.
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's in Business Administration or related field
  • Earned Value Proficiency including the Earned Value Guidelines and ONE NG System Description.
  • Experience with financial forecasting systems

Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.
