The role:

This is an in-office, full-time position at Congo Brands HQ in Louisville, KY.

We are hiring a Manager, 3PL Operations to lead our team responsible for external 3PL fulfillment centers. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to align manufacturing throughput, customer orders, transportation, and invoicing execution. The ideal candidate should possess a strong skill set in developing standardized metrics, quantifying them, and managing teams accordingly. Additionally, expertise in solutioning data aggregation and presentation, as well as effective communication of regular changes and downstream impact, will be crucial. We value candidates who can foster better engagement internally and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Provide strong leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, coaching, training, provide feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations to drive individual and team growth
  • Supervise and develop a team of 3PL Operations Analysts and Administrators to meet organizational goals and priorities.
  • Cultivate and foster strong working relationships with 3PL partners
  • Develop and drive continuous improvement activities and projects to support new initiatives
  • Work closely with Account Management, Inventory Control, Logistics, and Accounting teams to ensure variances related to order issues are minimized.
  • Monitor and track the accuracy, timeliness, and other metrics of the team ensuring internal standards are met
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on key metrics
  • Act as a key problem solver and the go to person for day-to-day distribution issues related to last minute orders and issues resulting from production timing

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, preferred
  • At least 5+ years' experience in supply chain operations with at least 3+ years in a leadership position
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower your team
  • Demonstrate a successful track record as a 3PL Manager or Individual Contributor, with a preference for experience in the Food, Beverage, and/or CPG industry
  • Proven expertise in driving continuous improvement initiatives and projects to support new business initiatives and enhance operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers
  • Ability to accurately execute solutions and new processes implemented to ensure an efficient system.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to utilize advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools effectively
