Your Impact:

The Manager, Account Management is a leader within the Account Management organization and oversees a team of Account Managers that support sales. This person is an expert in the verticals they are aligned to and liaises regularly with sales and marketing leadership.

Account Managers work with various teams to put together media plans, act as the day -to -day contact for the accounts they work on and ensure Hearst is meeting client expectations through the lifecycle of their campaigns.

This role as a leader is important as they are holding their Account Managers accountable to doing great work, creating and implementing workflow and processes and acting as a resource of support to their AMs daily.

What You'll Do:

As Manager, Account Management, you will work across your team to create great media programs for your portfolio of advertisers and manage a team to do their best work.

Build great programs -

  • Be an expert in the products we offer and work closely with sales on building smart media deals that meet advertiser KPIs.
  • Introduce new solutions in the media mix and be an expert on how to do that.
  • Balance our internal business rules with client needs, using creativity and media math skills to build performant deals.
  • Be point of escalation for sales and clients for the verticals they manage.
  • Work across the team remove obstacles to building our business.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and revenue operations on best practices and issues

Lead a team of Account Managers to do their best work -

  • Oversee a team(s) of Account Managers that are aligned to specific verticals.
  • Oversee hiring and on boarding for their verticals.
  • Balance workload to keep turn-around times tight and resources productive.
  • Meet 1:1 with each team member weekly to keep them on track and answer any questions
  • Be an expert in our OMS and CMS systems ensuring to maximize use of both tools
  • Be solutions oriented and willing to jump in at any time

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 5+ years digital experience with a background in digital media, sales planning and / or strategy, marketing or campaign activation
  • Very deep understanding of digital media
  • Very strong organizational skills and eye for detail
  • Ability to lead a cross-functional project team, juggle multiple projects at one time
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Familiarity with platforms: CMS, Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, Salesforce, Ad Point (OMS)

This role requires the position to be located in New York with an in-office presence of 3+ days a week.

The base salary for this role is between $98,000 to $105,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
