Position Summary:
The Community Care Plan Accounting Manager will play an important role in the accounting operations, financial reporting, accounting systems, budgets, and financial controls. The individual will play a key role in the monthly close process to issue timely (monthly, quarterly, annual) and complete financial statements in accordance with GAAP, monitoring and assessing on-going internal process to push for efficiency, automation and accuracy of financial management and financial systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with minimum 5-10 years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- HealthCare experience and knowledge of Statutory (NAIC) accounting and reporting a plus
- CPA or MBA preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with the management and development of the accounting team to ensure compliance, efficiency and accuracy within the accounting operations while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and standards of excellence for processes, methods and personnel. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process. Assist with the overseeing and processing of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury management.
- Participates in the creation and implementation of internal controls, monitoring of accounting processes, review of journal entries, review of financial statements and review of reconciliations of GL accounts.
- Assists to monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements.
- Assist with establishing, updating and maintaining processes and procedures for the department.
- Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, assist with preparing budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans. Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Assists with managing cost allocation model.
- Assists with multiple monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- Manages financial audit process and tax return filings.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and under pressure. Flexibility and willingness to provide support as needed by management and staff.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

Skills and Abilities:
- Must have strong accounting and analytical skills, and technical ability in financial information systems
- Experience with financial reporting requirements and accounting software, preferably experience with NetSuite
- Superior data management and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills, strong customer service, and people skills
- Experience with management, budgeting, audit, and financial modeling
