The Manager, Accounting is responsible for bridging the gap between the Controller and the various accounting specialists within the Quantum Health Accounting department. They will lead the development and documentation of effective accounting processes and policies, daily accounting staff operations, General Ledger (GL) accounting and month-end close activities, in addition to supporting financial audits and broad Finance initiatives. Reporting directly to the Controller, this is a critical leadership role within our high-growth business.

What you'll do

• Lead month-end close and other General Ledger (GL) accounting tasks.
• Provide leadership, development and oversight to accounting associates.
• Develop, improve and document processes and policies with a focus on process improvement and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and other key stakeholders and departments to provide appropriate, accurate, and timely reporting to drive data-driven decision-making.
• All other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related discipline.
• Certification / Licensure: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Experience: 7+ years' progressive experience in accounting; previous experience leading and developing teams preferred.
• Proficient in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience in applying new and existing standards.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to develop and document process and policies while identifying opportunities for future-state improvement/modernization.
• Excellent communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with individuals from all backgrounds and articulate highly-technical financial information.
• Technology: Expert level experience with Microsoft Excel with a focus on forecasting, modeling, and design/data presentation.
• Technology: Previous experience using Sage Intacct Accounting system and Workday Adaptive Planning / Workday Financial Reporting & Forecasting systems a preferred.
• Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
• Trustworthy and accountable behavior, capable of viewing and maintaining confidential information daily.
