Job Overview

KDP is seeking a team member to provide high-level support in our fast-paced environment as the Beverage Concentrate (BC) Segment Accounting Manager/Controller. The primary objectives of this dynamic role will be managing the monthly and quarterly close and reporting cycles, ensuring proper accounting treatment for the Bottle, Can and Fountain Foodservice reporting units and serving as accounting lead on diverse business led transformation and other special projects.

This role, which includes management of a senior analyst as well as outsourced resources, will report directly to Sr Director, DSD/BC Controller. This role will work closely with leaders of KDP's accounting, finance, and other operational business partners on various accounting matters to ensure transactions are appropriately recorded within KDP's general ledger and financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for timely and accurate monthly/quarterly close processes including the reporting of results, supporting reporting disclosures as well as journal entries
• Owns the integrity of the BC balance sheet ensuring completeness, accuracy, and validity of reconciliations per policy; ensures balance sheet reconciliations are collected in a timely fashion and that accounts deemed high risk are reviewed and challenged
• Champions change to streamline processes, procedures and improve effectiveness and efficiencies of material accruals and other assets in the BC segment ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP
• Serves as liaison partnering with the business on projects for the Bottle Can and Fountain Foodservice reporting unit providing accounting guidance with the assistance of the technical accounting team
• Manages cross functional Controller collaboration with other Reporting Unit teams and Global Business Services to drive growth and efficiencies for KDP
• Partners with the SOX and internal control team to ensure we have comprehensive SOX programs across the Segment for both new and existing processes providing recommendations for procedural and other control improvements
• Partners on out-sourcing initiatives and support off-shore team and related processes.
• Actively involved in key transformation and productivity projects providing leadership, accounting guidance and support as required
• Participates in the testing and implementation of new functionality in SAP to support business projects and financial enhancements.
• Prepares and reviews requests from both internal and external auditors
• Leads and participates in continuous improvement projects and other efficiency and productivity initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA strongly preferred.
• 9-12 years of relevant work experience, 5+ years of supervisory experience (public accounting experience preferred).
• Strong GAAP, SOX and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration/interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Self-driven, self-starter and goal oriented
• Strong organization and project management skills required to prioritize and efficiently execute tasks
• Advanced Microsoft Office experience required and working knowledge of SAP a plus
