Manager, Accounting

The Accounting Manager for Accounts Payable will be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable function, ensuring daily, monthly, and annual operations run smoothly with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. They will manage close processes and analyze financial activity to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP, identify opportunities for process improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive departmental effectiveness and support the organization's growth while ensuring regulatory compliance. A successful candidate should also be detail oriented, collaborative, adaptable and focused on continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

- Oversee the Accounts Payable function, exercising leadership and oversight to ensure the seamless execution of daily, monthly, and annual duties with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

- Oversee close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

- Record and analyze financial activity to ensure compliance with company policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

- Analyze monthly trends and identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

- Ensure processes and procedures are developed and maintained resulting in the effectiveness of the department.

- Collaborate closely with the finance leadership team and cross-functional partners to implement best practices, optimize work processes, and play a key role in leading or participating in special projects that involve various functional groups, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of the organization.

- Correspond with and provide support to other corporate functional areas, including accounting/external reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, IT, and investor relations.

- Assist in internal and external reporting and compliance to ensure our financial data meets regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications - Education, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making abilities
• Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines

Preferred Qualifications - Education, Skills & Experience:

• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MAcc) or CPA or equivalent certification
