Job Summary of the Manager, Accounting AP, AR, Treasury 

The Manager leads through a small team and individually, the treasury, accounts receivable/collections, and accounts payable functions in the accounting department.  Responsibilities include hiring, motivating, and developing team members, maintaining cash flow forecasts, reviewing vendor payments, and overseeing compliance with internal controls. 

Requirements of the Manager, Accounting AP, AR, Treasury 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required.
• Preferred active Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 7+ years relevant experience
• Public company Industry experience required
• Previous public accounting experience, a plus
• Experience with supervising teams required
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Well-organized with ability to prioritize and execute
• Effective communication (written and oral in the English language) and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of Accounting Software, Great Plains a plus 

Responsibilities of the Manager, Accounting AP, AR, Treasury 

The specific duties of the Manager, Accounting AP, AR, Treasury include but are not limited to:

• Executes actions such as hiring, transferring, promoting, and discipling employees with the assistance of Human Resources.
• Creates and fosters an engaging culture through motivating, developing, performance managing, and goal setting.
• Manages and oversees employees and contractors who are engaged in the Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Accounts Payable functions in the Finance department.
• Maintains the cashflow forecast and reviews with Corporate Controller on a regular basis.
• Reviews vendor payment proposals.
• Partners with the legal department to prepare debt compliance packages.
• Manages bank account security and fraud protection.
• Manages the unclaimed property reporting.
• Oversees treasury and investments, collections and accounts receivables, and accounts payable.
• Internal reporting of related KPIs  such as DPO, DSO, etc.
• Assures the team documents, maintains, and trains on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 internal controls while ensuring that documentation is maintained in an acceptable manner.
• Drives scalability and cost saving initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
