Manager, Accounts Payable

FabFitFun is seeking a Manager, Accounts Payable to join our Controllership team! Reporting to our Senior Manager, Accounting, this person will be based full-time out of our HQ in West Hollywood, CA and will oversee a small team of AP Leads / Specialists. 

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee vendor relations and outgoing communications: 
• Heavily based on email communications regarding invoice inquiries/discrepancies, payment status, accounts reconciliation related to monthly statements and system access

• Review and approve high volume of invoices invoices: 
• Oversee coding to the appropriate GL accounts
• Perform manual inventory 3-way match procedures to ensure proper variance accounting and validate due dates based on purchase order agreement

• Cross-functional Communication and Collaboration: 
• Work closely with Merchandising, Compliance and Legal to improve efficiencies within chargeback /payment hold policies, procedures, and reconciliation
• Touch-base regularly with departmental contacts to maintain awareness of upcoming business changes and requirements needed from the organization
• Maintain employee access/deactivation related to the NetSuite access

• Team Efficiency & Management: 
• Evaluate processes to streamline, improve and align with the company objectives to maximum efficiency
• Maintain regular one on ones with team members 
• Provide formal reviews and/or performance improvement plans if needed

• Month-End Procedures: 
• Oversee credit card and cash reconciliations related to AP disbursements
• Perform quarterly reviews of the uncashed check register 
• Continue AP close timeline of 3 business days prior to the close of the month
• Oversee prep and review of the AP reconciliation and maintain an accurate aging

• Prepare weekly payment runs: 
• Manage payments for check requests, expense reports, and other disbursements
• Partner with internal Netsuite Engineer and external bank point of contact

• System Improvements: 
• Provide system requirements, perform testing, and evaluations of ongoing improvements to the NetSuite ERP for the AP function (bank integrations, inventory 3-way match implementation and expense systems integrations and mapping)

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Business or related field
• 5-7 years Accounts Payable/Accounting experience (experience within inventory field preferred) 
• 3 Years in Supervisor/Management role 
• Previous experience in expense reporting systems
• Strong organizational skills: a self-starter who can prioritize and multi-task
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization, including senior executive team
• Advanced/Expert level in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to think critically and research ad-hoc accounting or operational issues

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is $108,000 - $132,000. 

The compensation package will also include an initial equity grant, in addition to a range of generous medical, dental, vision and other perks & benefits. 

Compensation decisions are determined using a variety of job-related factors such as skill set, geographic location, market demands, experience, and education / certifications. If we extend an offer for employment, we will consider all individual qualifications.
