Job Description
The Manager, Accounts Payable (AP Manager)Â will play a critical role in the growth of our Accounting department by owning the full cycle of AP, ensuring accurate and timely recording of expenses and payments to vendors for our CPG vertical. The AP Manager also performs financial activity related to the month end close. The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen with the ability to effectively address both financial and operational challenges. You are a people person capable of navigating and managing vendor and internal relationships, managing a staff of AP Specialists and supporting the Finance team. Most importantly, you must be able to thrive in the fast-paced Green Thumb environment.Â
This position required onsite work 4 days a week, with one remote day per week.Â
- Manages full Accounts Payables cycle, including 3-way match procedures in the ERP system Â
- Develops policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with the delegation of authority matrixÂ
- Maintains vendor master databaseÂ
- Maintains vendor relationships, answering vendor and internal inquiries in a timely mannerÂ
- Leads a team of accounts payable professionalsÂ
- Collaborates with cross-functional team members in the procurement and manufacturing site operations teams to effectively monitor status of ERP-related workflows, including 3-way match, 2-way match, and blanket PO purchases and invoicing.Â
- Collaborates with cross-functional team members in the operations finance and ERP development teams to roll out ERP system enhancements and process improvementsÂ
- Prepares supporting documentation and processes paymentsÂ
- Maintains standard operating procedures including month-beginning and month-end checklistsÂ
- Reviews payables for completeness and accuracyÂ
- Supports external audit process, where requiredÂ
- Supervises annual 1099 processÂ
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field highly preferred Â
- 5+ years of experience working in an accounts payable role, in the manufacturing businessÂ
- 2+ years of experience managing staffÂ
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulationsÂ
- Ability to direct and superviseÂ
- Advanced skills as it relates to MS Office and accounting software Â
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulnessÂ
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environmentÂ
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externallyÂ

- Must pass any and all required background checks Â
