Manager Actuarial Analytics *Remote*

Reporting to the Executive Director, Value Based Care Administration and Operations, the Actuarial Manager, Value Based Care, is a thought leader in developing, operationalizing, and maintaining financial models and analyses for tracking, reporting, and improving the performance of value-based care (VBC) and risk arrangements at the contract level, at the portfolio level, and at the regional/service area level. The Actuarial Manager has accountability for providing decision support for the VBC, Population Health Informatics team, and Medicare VBC team, including financial and comparative analyses and data requests to support PSJH participation in various alternative payment models (APMs) with CMS and private health plans, assuring long-term growth of Value Based Care within Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH).

Required qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field.
  • Coursework/Training Successful completion of the requirements of the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
  • 6 years Experience in financial reporting and analytics.
  • 4 years Leadership experience.
  • 3 years Experience working for a large healthcare provider or plan.
  • Extensive experience with advanced analytic features of Excel, Access and/or SQL.

Preferred qualification:

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field.
