Manager - ADAS Mapping and Localization

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly motivated individual to manage the Mapping and Localization team.

Your Role:

• Supervise an evolving team of talented algorithm developers in the area of ADAS/AD mapping and localization
• Ensure technical excellence and build IP portfolio for Mapping and Localization algorithms offered by Aptiv
• Plan, execute and control team-level investment in further development of algorithmic capabilities
• Drive collaborations with global teams in the area of perception algorithms and ADAS/AD platform
• Contribute to the generation of technical roadmap for Mapping and Localization and guide the team through the implementation of its steps
• Personally contribute and guide the team to ensure Aptiv's success in the domain of Mapping and Localization algorithms under business constraints.
• Manage resource assignments to project teams to execute development programs
• Ensure that the team meets project targets in terms of content, quality, timing and cost
• Monitor project execution progress, adjust when needed, e.g. metrics, key performance indicators.
• Play the role of technical mentor for the team
• Support customer communication if required
• Attract, recruit and retain new talents
• Responsible to develop, guide, mentor, evaluate, train, manage and recognize employees
• Responsible for implementation according to development processes, development standards, development tools and building blocks
• Active participation in the further development and optimization of development processes and tools
• Drive and support enterprise continuous improvement (cost, quality, performance, efficiency)
• Comply with applicable policies and procedures, including compliance to Competency design and methodology direction for Platform specific designs
• Management of external service providers, in particular the specification of the task, the selection of service providers as well as the monitoring of adherence to schedules, quality and costs
• Managing Budget & Capital Planning

Your Background:

• Bachelor, MSc degree in engineering
• Team oriented
• Methodical approach to problem solving
• Solid, prior experience with managing a team
• Technical knowledge in the related field
• Prior experience in automotive industry
• Commitment to ongoing projects and implementing improvements
