The opportunity
We’re looking for a Manager to oversee a sales team responsible for growing our advertiser partnerships. The individual’s primary responsibilities will be to manage, coach, develop and navigate the organization so that their team may be successful in rapidly growing the top-line revenue generated from our advertiser partners. The team is responsible for selling Unity’s advertising products across the performance marketing landscape.
To be successful in the role, you’ll need to have a comprehensive understanding of the mobile ad ecosystem, the ability to act as a player/mentor to understand and sell product solutions to app developers, marketers, agencies and brands, handling both short and long sales cycles, conveying a high level of expertise when speaking to prospects, and ensuring the team is performing at their highest level in these areas.
We are looking for an extraordinary Manager to join our team in the U.S., part of Unity’s larger Grow organization, to help accelerate our position in market as one of the premium ad networks that delivers outstanding results on our advertiser’s return on ad spend!
What you'll be doing
- Set the team sales strategy, manage Salesforce pipeline reporting, provide market insight to drive revenue growth and product improvement.
- Continuously look for new sales verticals that can benefit from Unity’s suite of ad products and lead the team accordingly.
- Generate strategic plans to penetrate new verticals (social, utilities, entertainment, and more) and acquire new clients and work closely with different business teams to prioritize and support decision making.
- Coordinate internally with Legal, Finance, Marketing and more to ensure your team has a streamlined internal process to close deals quickly, including possession of the necessary sales collateral and benchmarks.
- Evaluate critical players in the ad tech space along with their technologies and highlight Product gaps and risks internally. Collect customer feedback and stay current on market trends to refine and improve sales pitch and strategies.
What we're looking for
- A validated experience in managing a sales team in the advertising, performance marketing, or e-commerce industry, with a consistent record of exceeding targets/quotas.
- Strong understanding of how mobile ad networks operate, including familiarity with associated business models, mediation, ad serving technology, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising, etc.
- Ability to intimately understand and articulate technical products and services.
- Creative deal making ability, including financial analysis, forecasting and imaginative deal structures that achieve return on investment while delivering partner ROAS.
