Manager, Analytics Engineering
Job Description
Ibotta is looking for a Manager of Analytics Engineering to build and lead our growing Analytics Engineering Team. This leader will be responsible for the team’s vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution, which includes the build and test of new data products, BI platform ownership, data literacy, and data anomaly detection. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, collaborative and inspiring servant leader with a track record of attracting, recruiting, developing and retaining world-class talent.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

What we are looking for:
2+ years of engineering management experience (or related) with a proven ability to build empowered, high-performing teams and lead complex technical initiatives to successful outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5+ years of experience as a software engineer or related data experience (inclusive of Agile and DevOps experience)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science,mathematics, analytics, or related field required
Expert in understanding data structures, usage, security, and access
Experience with a cloud-based data architecture (Databricks preferred)
Experience with supporting and using a modern BI/Data Visualization Platform (e.g. Looker, Mode, etc.)
Experience with Event Driven Architectures and platforms is a strong plus
Understands and has practiced agile software development and management
Has had exposure to multiple languages and frameworks as either an engineer or manager (strong SQL, Spark, and Airflow experience highly preferred)
Comfortable managing team members with different skill sets and technical areas of focus and expertise

Additional Details:
This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
This position includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, profit sharing, and equity.
Base compensation range: $140,000-$165,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary.
