Job Description:

Description: The Manager of Annual Giving is responsible for overseeing and the day-to-day management of the JPS Foundation's Annual Giving Program, including external support for the Foundation's annual fund and employee giving programs. The Manager of Annual Giving will develop and implement a strategy to steadily increase external and employee participation in annual giving through donor stewardship, engagement presentations, special events, and a pipeline of supporters who help foster a culture of philanthropy benefiting the JPS Health Network.
Typical Duties:
  1. Develops, sustains and nurtures the JPS Foundation's relationships with external and employee annual supporters in coordination with the Development team and the Foundation President.
  2. Responsible for staff onboarding and off-boarding. Defines staff responsibilities and expectations, assigns and communicates performance and promotes professional growth and accountability.
  3. Directs and oversees activities of the Development Coordinator.
  4. Create and implements new strategies to increase participation in North Texas Giving Day, Employee Giving a Program and Community Gifts.
  5. Manages and executes systems to ensure a comprehensive employee donor relations program.
  6. Identifies and implements donor cultivation and solicitation strategies while working closely with volunteers, staff, and management.
  7. Develops and implements strategies to increase participation in the Hour Hospital campaign each calendar year.
  8. Develops and executes external annual giving program in coordination with the Development team and senior Foundation leaders.
  9. Strategizes, executes and manages systems to drive regular communications demonstrating gift impact to employee supporters and internal stakeholders.
  10. Develops communications content for internal audiences including employee gift acknowledgments, announcements, stewardship reports and annual employee donor impact reports in collaboration with the Director, the JPS Brand Manager and the JPS Health Network Office of Communications.
  11. Develops an annual budget and monthly cash flow for income and expenses in areas of employee giving and donor relations.
  12. Conducts presentations to broaden knowledge and support of JPS Foundation, in the community and to new and existing employees.
  13. Regularly tracks interaction with donors by entering notes and actions into the Foundation's donor database. Advises database manager of donor communication preferences and updates to critical data points, such as name changes, mailing addresses, email addresses and telephone contact information.
  14. Leads research to identify potential community members, employee and physician supporters to benefit JPS Health Network. Develops and implements strategies for increasing physician participation in annual giving.
  15. Collaborates with the Foundation team to plan and execute all JPS Foundation events including galas, groundbreakings, dedications, tours, information activities, fundraising events, etc.) that can be leveraged to cultivate major donors and donor prospects.
  16. Helps solicit corporate and individual sponsorships and underwriting opportunities for special events, as requested.
  17. Works in a team environment on department activities and initiatives with a positive attitude.
  18. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

    Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with the fundraising community and donors.
  • 2 years of experience in a leadership capacity.

  • Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or Relations or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with Development, writing, marketing/PR, and/or healthcare or donor-related communications
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge
