Toyota Connected’s Mobility team is hiring a Manager of Application Development Support who will be responsible for the Operations Support function and serves as our face to the customer as well as a technical monitoring and support. This person will provide Customer, Product, and Platform support for all Mobility products in production. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and strengthen relationships with Toyota Connected’s global mobility partners 
  • Provide Customer Support Including: resolution of customer tickets/issues, onboarding as well as usage tracking and trending.  
  • Provide product performance tracking, product improvement recommendations, vehicle product onboarding, as well as product usage tracking and trending
  • Perform ongoing platform support by doing performance tracking comprising response time, system up-time, and operating costs.  
  • Provide detailed reporting and analysis on Product and Platform run costs.
  • Use knowledge to create and/or evolve Toyota Connected’s Mobility customer relationship management and support processes for the entire company to identify market trends, envision customer needs and the technology intersection, and bring direction to the product development efforts
  • Serve as the Toyota Connected Mobility products expert that works with our global partners to continually improve and grow the business.
  • Maintain and add to Toyota Connected’s mobility playbook and create a comprehensive set of best practice documentation, business and operational checklists and FAQs designed to assist our partners launch their own mobility pilots, programs, and services
  • Understand the difference between what a customer wants, what a customer needs, and what a customer is trying to achieve with the vision of the product
  • Provide input to Product Owners regarding the requests of customers related to the design and development of the product
  • Adapt to changing priorities and account for necessary adjustments
  • Manage team of 3 to 4 team members and team of contractors

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in application development support, application development, and/or related field 
  • 3+ years of experience in production support
  • 2+ years of experience managing, training, guiding, coaching, and mentoring teams
  • Ability to build software tools to monitor and analyze technology products
  • Experience building automation tools to automate tasks and improve efficiency
  • Ability to effectively triage product problems and quickly get to the root cause and resolution.
  • Experience providing positive team leadership and promoting collaboration amongst team
  • Experience participating in interviewing and selecting new hires
  • Experience building business models along with supporting evidence 
  • Experience creating and maintaining detailed business reporting
  • Ability to solve difficult operational problems to improve overall business efficiency
  • Ability to provide alternative solutions or recommendations, and test for different outcomes
  • Understanding of AWS components and cost structure.
  • Ability to work across teams and organizations to resolve issues
  • Ability to monitor employee performance and provide feedback for development
  • Ability to establish a clear vision and strategy for the team
  • Ability to resolve conflicts amongst team members
  • Ability to manage team(s) through periods of high stress, demand, or change
  • Demonstrates advanced problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Displays care, empathy, and understanding towards team members including valuing diversity and differences amongst individuals
  • Experience making fiscally responsible decisions
  • Organized and detail oriented with strong quality management
  • Ability to develop healthy working relationships and collaborate with peers and leaders
