Role: Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, US Architecture & Systems Integration, the Manager, Application Integration will be responsible for managing a team of software developers and architects that implements and extends the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration System. The manager will oversee the work and career of each team member, manage the assignments and allocations of team on global projects, and activity work on projects as an Oracle Insurance Policy Administration System expert.

Your Day with Equisoft:

• Support the integration aspects of implementing web services, services-oriented architecture solutions (SOA) or event driven architecture solutions (EDA)
• Deliver application integrations between product suites and custom integration with ESB and legacy systems
• Actively participating in the various scrums (the daily, retrospective and planning meetings) of your team
• Participate in the analysis of functionalities regarding the business needs as well as the technological solutions.
• Contribute to Data mapping and transformation tasks using XML technologies and tools
• Develop integration modules and web services using Java programming language
• Create technical documentation

Team Support & Development

• Manage the team of solution architects and systems integrators, dedicated to solutioning with Equisoft's products, implementing policy administration systems, and integrating insurance systems
• Mentor and coach team members to ensure technical development by providing them with immediate and continuous performance feedback
• Support the hiring process of new members to the team
• Prepare new hire integration plan, and ensure that new employees receive the necessary support and training to meet the positions' requirements
• Motivate team members and ensure their good performance by supporting them in the achievement of his or her goals
• Promote team building initiatives and the Equisoft corporate culture
• Manage team's allocation across global projects and manage to an 85% utilization rate
• Achieve a personal utilization rate of 75% on projects
• Understand the Equisoft suite of products and how all of them fit into an insurance company's ecosystem
• Assist the AVP, US Architecture & Systems Integration with supporting the presales team in RFP responses and product demos
• Assist the AVP, US Architecture & Systems Integration with managing the US based projects and being accountable for their delivery
• Assist the AVP, US Architecture & Systems Integration with coming up with a resource strategy to support all projects with everchanging needs

Requirements:

Technical

• Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering or information Technology or College
• Diploma combined to 5 years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience with insurance policy administration system
• 5+ years of relevant experience in delivering services-based projects
• Experience with the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration System
• Working knowledge of an Insurance Companies typical systems
• Working knowledge of SaaS offerings and cloud-based integration architecture
• Knowledge of the Agile methodology and JIRA
• Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)

• Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information
• Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment
• Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline

Nice to Haves:

• Deep understanding of the insurance industry and the systems they use
• Understanding of Microsoft Azure
• Experience with N-Tier Java based systems including WebLogic and WebSpehere
