About the role:
Samsara is seeking an Auto Renewals Sales Manager to join our passionate, high energy, and fast moving renewals team. As an Auto Renewals Sales Manager, you will supervise and support our Auto Renewal Specialists. You will have a consistent track record of business success and the ability to hire, develop, and manage an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team.
In this role, you will own our renewal customer experience for our AE1 customer base (<$30K ARR). There are 1,000s of customers looking for a seamless way to continue service. This role will involve building out processes, A/B tests, de-escalating customers, proactively reaching out and negotiating with at-risk customers, and reporting out on progress to a senior-level audience. You will work closely with top-tier executives and will be a principal contributor to the success of a large Renewals Sales organization.
This role requires strong business acumen, a passion for scaling organizations and streamlining operations, and an eagerness to constantly deliver data-driven improvements in a fast-moving environment. In addition to this, you will champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural values (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new regions.
In this role, you will:
- Organize, prioritize, and improve auto-renewal processes to maximize revenue and a positive customer experience
- Achieve quarterly Auto Renewal sales targets
- Own the auto-renewal sales component of Samsara’s customer journey
- Hire new Auto Renewal Specialists and provide both onboarding and ongoing coaching to ensure their growth and success
- Coach a team of ~8 Auto Renewals Specialists on sales strategy, sales process, pipeline reviews and consistently achieve quarterly targets
- Work cross-functionally to strategically solve problems and project manage
- Create content for ongoing training and development
- Support Auto Renewal Specialists through professional development plans
- Provide clear and tactical feedback to Auto Renewal Specialists
- Further the performance and growth oriented culture within the team and organization
- Design and manage ongoing training campaigns and collaborate with Sales Enablement to deliver demonstrable improvement to ramping and fully ramped Auto Renewal Specialists
- Serve as a peer for other Sales Managers to improve the efficacy of the sales management group including problem-solving, team development, and continued evolution of the team to meet new issues and grow revenue
- Be an authority in change management efforts across the Samsara organization
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
- Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team
An ideal candidate has:
- Consistent achievement of >105% attainment in the last year and Excellent performance feedback
- Ability to fully transition new Auto Renewals Specialists into role and excel at managing the Auto Renewals business cadence
- Recognized as a top performer with strong business acumen
- Proven as a high-caliber performer by mastering and innovating on Samsara’s sales motion, mastery of Sales Tools, and regular positive influence on other sales team
- Excellent executive communication skills and comfort with public speaking
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills
- Self-starter and adaptable to change

Flexible Working
At Samsara, we have adopted a flexible way of working, enabling teams and individuals to do their best work, regardless of where they’re based. We value in-person collaboration and know a change of scenery and quiet space to work is welcomed from time to time, but also appreciate that the world of work has changed. Our offices remain open for those who prefer to collaborate or work in-office, but we also encourage fully remote applicants.
