Manager (Bilingual French and English) PR and Influencer

Location: Montreal (Remote position reporting into Toronto office), travel to Toronto up to 2x per month will be required
Golin Toronto is looking for a Manager, who will play a crucial role in driving successful integrated campaigns for our diverse client roster with French media relations and influencer marketing being core responsibilities. You’ll work closely with clients, manage accounts, and lead a team of junior professionals. Your ability to communicate fluently in both English and French is essential, as you’ll be engaging with clients and media outlets in Quebec and French-speaking Canada. You’ll work with some of the best consumer and B2B brands in the world – alongside a team of dynamic, high performing, engaged, and creative PR professionals. What You’ll Do:
- Media Relations:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with B2C and B2B media in Quebec and French-speaking Canada.
- Develop and execute media strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Secure media coverage across various channels, including broadcast, radio, online, and print.
- Write media materials in English and French including press releases, pitch emails, fact sheets, briefing documents.
- Conduct media training and message reviews with clients / spokespeople in English and French.
- Lead end-to-end influencer management, from vetting and selecting influencers to contract negotiation and content briefing.
- Collaborate with influencers to create authentic and impactful content that aligns with client objectives.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with French-speaking influencers.
- Come up with creative themes and content ideas that will resonate in French Canada.
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute client / brand events in Quebec.
- Prepare detailed run-of-show and briefing documents.
- Work directly with clients to bring visions to life.
- Manage attendees – invitations, outreach and managing responses.
- Conduct media relations to drive attendance for consumer events.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French (spoken and written).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, preferably within a PR agency setting.
- Demonstrated success in media relations and influencer marketing.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Budget management experience.
- Experience working on CPG and beauty/ personal care an asset.
Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.Â
Salary range: $55,000 - $95,000
