POSITION SUMMARY: As Manager of Brand Content & Design, you will develop and cultivate the visual communication and content that expresses the Republic Services brand, products and services in a way that inspires and connects to our customers and their needs. You will drive and champion creative concepts and storytelling across the organization supporting both Field and Corporate initiatives. This prominent role leads enterprise-wide content and design direction to help drive growth and deliver positive business outcomes. The Manager of Brand Content & Design is responsible for managing and executing the external marketing content and collateral for the company which includes strategically planning, creating, and distributing content, design systems, and collateral to support the Marketing, Sales, and Communications functions in a fast-paced, high-volume growth environment. A well-designed content strategy should support creating awareness, driving engagement, educating, and generating demand/leads.

This role closely collaborates with the Manager, Corporate Brand to ensure our brand collateral aligns to business needs. This role works collaboratively with all marketing and communications team members, outside departments, and with executive leadership, to ensure multichannel visual communication and content design is accurate, comprehensive, and furthers the goals of the sales, marketing, and communications functions. This role requires a high level of creativity, design expertise, strategy, and project management skills paired with strong people leadership and executive presence.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and manages the internal design team.
  • Leads and manages creative content strategy, planning, execution, and delivery for both corporate and field.
  • Responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving Workfront, our creative project management system.
  • Acts as the liaison between the field marketing and corporate marketing teams to execute on field marketing needs and launch corporate campaigns and initiatives in the field.
  • Aligns and collaborates with stakeholders around content and creative direction, providing guidance on choices, approach to visual communication and storytelling to achieve desired outcomes cross-functionally.
  • Acts as a key contributor to the strategic brand planning process based on insights and analytics.
  • Leads creative agency relationship in partnership with Manager, Corporate Brand
  • Ensures a design consistency and alignment of messaging, tone, and calls-to-action across all sales, product, and customer communications.
  • Participates in brand, digital, communications and demand generation campaign planning.
  • Performs competitive and industry visual communication and content research and coordinates with advertising agencies, marketing operations and regional marketing teams in the development and production of advertising tactics that drive customer acquisition and loyalty.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Self-starter who can take ownership of their role and be successful operating with autonomy.
  • Strong people leadership and ability to manage and support design team members and the overall visual communication process.
  • Proven ability to manage, prioritize, and meet deadlines for creative projects of various size/scope in a high-volume environment with a focus on results.
  • Experience developing brand campaigns that drive awareness, acquisition, and loyalty.
  • Proven ability to develop creative and content strategies and communicate recommendations to executives.
  • Must be creative and innovative and able to inspire others to think creatively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to impact and influence without formal authority.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five years of experience in either Marketing, Brand Management, multimedia/media production or related fields.
