WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
The role is part of the Consumer Brand Management team, where you will lead the Running & Training fields of play with a special focus on Women, reporting directly to the Women’s Brand Marketing Director and having a Running Brand Specialist and a Training Brand Specialist reporting into you. You will also work cross-functionally with Sports Marketing, Digital and Retail Marketing, functions of the Marketing team (Brand Creative, Media, etc.), LATAM Brand teams, merchandising and marketplace teams.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As part of the Consumer Brand Management area within Marketing, we are looking for someone with strong inspiration and commitment to play a leading role in the understanding of the running and training consumer in Mexico City and LATAM and the seasonal planning and execution. The Running & Training Brand Manager has expertise in the respective scenes, seniority in processes like brand planning, plan executions, creative and strategic thinking, consumer insights and connection, and requires a strong aptitude to manage direct reports, work with teams as he/she partners and coordinates with Marketing functions, LATAM territories, Nike’s Geography at WHQ and other business functions to guarantee effective alignment. The final output of the Manager’s work will be to drive seamless journeys that connect sport and movement, key city moments, products and stories, with the consumer’s life and its involvement with sport.Â
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
You will be working on leading the Nike LATAM Running & Training Brand seasonal plans, through implementation, execution and evaluation that support the broader regional strategy, integrating marketing planning and overseeing of processes that enable timely and effective implementation by the cross-functional team. You will also lead the development of briefs and managing of creative partners and agencies by thinking and creating, through the lens of online to offline, vision and building strong consumer relationships that start with digital (specifically mobile) and connect seamlessly to real-life marketing such as digital and physical events. Other areas would include expand the brand’s closest connection to the consumer trends, including aspirations, behaviors, interests, needs and values. This will include formal and informal research, evaluating and distilling the findings. You will also work on maintaining a collaborative, highly creative and progressive work with cross functional teams to identify industry, city, influencer, athletes, and sport trends. You will manage budget and cost-efficient implementation of resources and support brand reporting and recapping process, periodically.Â
You will bring to Nike:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a closely related field.
- 8+ years of experience in consumer marketing or related experience in marketing strategy, marketing planning, brand marketing, running, training and sports marketing.
- Strategic and creative thinking.
- Genuine passion and knowledge of sport, training and running, youth culture, the consumer and Nike brand.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. High level fluent English.
- Ability to balance creativity with organizational and procedural excellence in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Excellent teamwork.
- Team management skills.
- Commitment to roll up sleeves to help Nike meet its collective goals.
- Familiarity and working experience in Mexico City and/or LATAM are highly preferred.
- Key experience profiles include digital marketing and consumer brand.
- Strong skills in keynote presentations, synthetization of information and multitasking.
