TheFutureParty is a community-based media brand at the intersection of business & culture. We produce micro-events and tailored content for our network of tastemakers and creators in entertainment, music, art, fashion, technology, and business. We also have a growing email newsletter that reaches tens of thousands of ambitious creative professionals every day.

Summary Of Position:

We’re seeking a Sales & Partnerships Manager to join our growing team at TheFutureParty. This is a crucial role and opportunity to get on the ground floor of an engaged and growing media brand. We’re seeking a proven salesperson with a history of generating new business opportunities who can manage and build a robust pipeline with a drive to sell.

This role requires someone with exceptional communication skills and attention to detail. You will report directly to the Director of Brand Partnerships and will be responsible for prospecting, managing, and selling partnership opportunities for TheFutureParty.

Role Priorities:

  • Prospect: Find new targets, contact information, and verticals to bring to the TheFutureParty sales team pipeline
  • Sell: TheFutureParty properties and products, existing and future; This includes primarily our daily newsletter followed by our events (physical + digital) and various creative services
  • Develop: Bring new ideas, concepts, and products to the table, guide, craft and articulate new programs, manage, and sell them
  • Collaborate: Be able to work within a team to achieve collective targets

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage in partnerships through direct sales and agency-related contacts
  • Keep and constantly expand a database of qualified sales leads and prospects
  • Move solid leads through the marketing funnel, connecting them to a salesperson and arranging in-person meetings, emails, or phone calls
  • Set up and hit weekly, monthly, and quarterly outreach targets
  • Research potential clients' products or services
  • Set up meetings with potential clients to present advertising proposals and address their concerns
  • Assist the sales marketing team in preparing media kits and promotional plans
  • Liaison with account management to execute and close deals
  • Understand and interpret data to share with and empower our team, clients, and ad partners

Qualifications:

  • 1 - 3 years of prospecting, direct sales & media experience
  • Highly organized and detailed

  • Proven history of hitting and exceeding sales goals
  • Direct selling, agency, and partnerships experience
  • Ready, able, willing, and proven ability to create new relationships that lead to financial success

Extra Credit:

  • Knowledge of the whole sales cycle for a digital media business; Everything from a strong understanding of a good product, researching and sourcing new leads, to meeting, pitching, and closing the deals.
  • Existing relationships and an engaged network
  • Understand the newsletter ecosystem, who the players are, and what makes a good product
  • Proficient in Hubspot, Keynote, & Apollo

Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time

Location: We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York. The ideal candidate is located in Los Angeles, however, we will consider remote candidates for this role. 

Salary Estimation: $65,000- $75,000 Yearly

NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented salary range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
