Role Description and Mission:
MBSi Corp is a forward thinking SAAS company looking to enhance its offerings to the Auto Finance industry. If you are a self-motivated individual and enjoy being challenged, working in a fast pace team environment, collaboration, and having your ideas valued, then you’ve found the right place. We currently have an opening for a Manager, Business Analysis with strong analytical, technical and project management skills. This position will involve both leading a team of analysts as well as individual contributions. The business analyst team reviews, analyzes and evaluates business systems to develop detailed understanding of the business need, and uses this knowledge to develop design documentation to support the deployment of SAAS applications in multiple environments (i.e., mobile, web, desktop, API services). They work in an Agile environment, participating in scheduled rollouts of technical project work to ensure changes are in accordance with design specifications, meet quality assurance standards and are seamlessly implemented as required.
Key Outcomes:Â
Work with Agile teams and product owners to eliminate blockers and impediments, refine user stories and acceptance criteria, plan sprints to support business release plans.
Collect, document and analyze business requirements and functional specifications for cross functional projects to provide the best solution for business needs.
Identify operational inefficiencies, conflicting business practices and integration issues, suggesting alternative solutions.
Responsible for managing technical scope and meeting commitments to customers.  Ensures latest software changes/enhancements are in accordance with design specifications and the business’ technical delivery process.
Supports creation of technical requirement documents identifying how user needs, program functions and steps required to develop, modify or integrate applications will be completed.
Develop productive business relationships both internal and external and integrate activities with project team members, primarily quality assurance and developers to ensure successful implementation and support of projects.
Participate in internal product demo’s, new product reviews, tests and pilots if necessary.
Provide consulting support on processes and systems issues.
Create or assist with the creation and execution of test scripts to ensure that production issues are minimal after implementation of new enhancements, changes or upgrades.
Responsible for documentation of requirements and business rules through actively using existing application and, where necessary, reverse-engineering of existing legacy technology code.
Provides leadership for business analyst team, demonstrates initiative and leads by example.
Requirements:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent education/experience.
- Project management and/or Business Analysis and/or Scrum Certifications/accreditation preferred. Advanced degree a plus.
- 5+ years related experience with 3 years technical experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst or related role.Â
- Experience analyzing user requirements, designing systems and managing project scope and a good understanding of general business practices.
- Understanding of relational and non-relational databases and usage of query languages like SQL to assist in data and/or functional analysis efforts.
- Capable of working with software platforms that span multiple environments (i.e., mobile, web, cloud, desktop).
- Ability to define user stories, acceptance criteria and technical requirements
- Applied experience in implementing advanced systems analysis techniques, methodologies and/or tools (ex. Agile, Scrum, Lean)
- Experience leading technical projects for complex business applications/systems.
Working Relationships and Additional Information:Â
- Interacts with both internal and external clients and customers in clear and concise manner.
- Up to 15% travel may be required. Â
- Position is Remote with headquarters in Phoenix, AZÂ
