As the Manager, Business Development, you will support and drive our outbound sales strategy and work cross-functionally with stakeholders to deliver value-added solutions to our customers. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Promote GXO Direct's solution offering
- Develop new opportunities and manage the sales pipeline
- Effectively prospect a sales pipeline by researching and communicating with targets via email, calling, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other methods
- Help drive value-creating insights, recommendations, and solutions
- Update internal tracking and reporting systems throughout the day to maintain accuracy in sales and volume metrics
- Support the continuous optimization of the sales process and workflow
- Work cross-functionality with stakeholders across the organization to improve the product offering and customer experience
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- Proven success meeting sales goals
- Experience selling to the C-suite
- 5 years of combined experience in logistics or Software/Consultative sales role
- Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Experience with Sales Tools (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Linkedin Sales Navigator, etc)
It'd be great if you also have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
- Experience working in contract logistics, warehousing, freight transportation, or similar industry
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPIC and BANT
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
