Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for soliciting, developing and managing a portfolio of large sized business and very complex accounts. Typically manages a portfolio from $40-$70MM.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Serves as business banking relationship manager for large sized business customers, primarily for-profit privately owned entities, providing them with a full range of financial services products; including loans, deposit services and all related business banking services that 1st Source (SCRE) offers.
  • Responsible for managing the ongoing sales relationship and providing customers with the services/products that result in revenue to meet internal financial goals and control expenses.
  • Drives and manages the portfolio growth, depository targets, and credit quality of existing accounts to ensure departmental targets and goals are achieved by working in a collaborative manner with Value Stream Team members.
  • Works with other SRCE business units in establishing new client relationships and servicing of existing clients.
  • Provides qualified referrals to colleagues for the services/products that 1st Source offers for which they are the specialists.
  • Identifies opportunities and promotes cross selling opportunities by actively engaging other areas of the bank (i.e., Deposit, SBA, WAS, Insurance, etc.) to deepen the relationship.
  • Develops, maintains, and executes the Pipeline Report and follows up on all prospective clients.
  • Documents all bank/customer relationships and commitments.
  • Actively utilizes InSight (Salesforce) system by populating new client leads, referrals, opportunities, and maintains a daily follow up on all tasks for prospective and existing clients. Retains and strengthens current relationships and seeks to develop new business.
  • Performs financial reviews on a timely basis.
  • Complies with bank's loan policies and procedures and legal requirements.
  • If applicable, responsible for the supervision of assigned staff and exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Completes all compliance training related to the position.
  • Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Ten (10) or more years Business Banking sales experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cash management products preferred.
  • Excellent consultative sales and proactive calling skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships withinternal service partners and customers in order to gain their trust and respect.
  • Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven record of new business generation.


EDUCATIONBachelor's Degree preferred; concentration in Business, Economics or Finance preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSAbility to travel to off-site locations for meetings, projects, seminars, etc., as well as ability to travel overnight.
