As the Manager, Business Intelligence, you will be accountable for team deliverables and successful completion of team initiatives including the design, development, and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions for XPO Logistics transportation systems. What you'll do on a typical day:

• Lead initiatives of various sizes in capacity and resource planning, project plans, project tracking, status reporting and actively influencing work efforts.
• Manage team budgets, authorize expenditures, monitor allocation and resources, and oversee project plans.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and foster innovation throughout all team activities; design and implement measures and KPIs to monitor all aspects of development and delivery.
• Actively participate in determining customer requirements, developing solutions, assessing project viability, estimating new work effort.
• Oversee the creation, support, and maintenance of analytics and data warehouse portfolio assets, including data models, data flow architecture, application schemas, KPIs, reports, dashboards, and end user documentation.
• Collaborate with other business unit BI teams and shared services groups to define, adopt, and align BI technical standards and best practices.
• Manage the lifecycle of BI tools and the assets created with them, accounting for changing business requirements, industry best practices, and competitor capability.
• Grow and manage a team that supports employee and team development

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 5 years' experience in a fast-paced business intelligence and analytics development environment.
• 3 years' experience leading teams of professionals.
• Strong proficiency in at least two of the following roles: project manager, business analyst, product manager, technical lead, and data analyst.
• Knowledge of BI analysis and development methodologies and processes in an agile environment.

It'd be great if you also have:

• MBA or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
• 2-5 years' experience in hands-on development with R or Python.
• 2-5 years' experience delivering solutions with at least two of the following: data modeling, data integration, data science.
• Ability to write SQL fluently for report development and data validation, and competent recognizing and correcting inefficient or error-prone SQL.
• Ability to build and integrate report, dashboard, and data analysis deliverables using BI technology platforms-preferably Google BigQuery and Looker.
• Transportation and logistics industry experience.
