Job Title: Manager, Buying, NA Retail
Primary Purpose: The Buyer will execute buying strategies for the Retail Women's Small Leather Goods categories. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is strategic & an excellent problem-solver with outstanding analytical and communication skills.

- Drive financial results that maximize revenue, gross margin, and inventory turn goals through the development of planning and merchandising strategies for the Women's Small Leather Goods categories.
- Manage strategic long-range planning for Women's Small Leather Goods categories as well as SKU lifecycle from creation to deletion
- Assess category level risks and opportunities to guide business decisions, determine go forward strategies, chase/liquidity expectations, manage OTB
- Execute buy process from concept to completion, including the financial planning of sales/inventory, partnership in influencing product development, and the implementation of regional and tiered merchandising strategies.
- Manage a team of at least one Associate, with a focus on coaching and long term talent development
- Work closely with Inventory Management and Allocation to ensure that inventory turn goals are met and assortments by door are maximized
- Lead quantitative & qualitative weekly, monthly, & quarterly business reviews/hind-sighting and provide forward-looking strategic actions to maximize opportunities in the assortment to achieve continued growth and profitability
- Continuously analyze and reforecast business and implement strategies to ensure plan is accurate and able to be achieved, including adjusting product flow, seasonal strategies, and inventory management
- Partner with Global Merchandising to influence category assortments by analyzing product performance, customer feedback, consumer trend/data, competitive landscape, and local market knowledge
- Partner with Marketing, Product Knowledge, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations and Field Team to create synergies among all consumer touch points
- Partner with field team to solicit qualitative feedback on product, customers, store environments & competition
The accomplished individual will possess...
- B.A. or B.S. preferred
- 5 - 7 years of Buying and/or Planning experience preferred
- 2+ years of people management preferred
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills & ad-hoc report building
- Detail oriented, organized, ability to multi-task
- Strong product sensibility
- Ability to present and recommend strategies and build a business case
- Team player with a focus on collaboration and their teams development
- Proficient learner of planning and buying systems
