Manager, Client Service Investment Operations
Job Description
- This is a senior level management role that will interface with managers and individual contributors at all levels of the organization.
- The role may, in time, supervise the activities of other individuals but may start out as a team of one.
- This is a new role that will evolve and will absorb other new responsibilities over time. A willingness and ability to help identify, define and absorb new responsibilities will be required for success.
- The role will require a balance between high level operational & performance oversight, governance & reporting, and execution of strategic BAU activities to achieve business OKRs.
- Key point of contact with Finance for forecasting/planning as well as central co-ordination and oversight of unit cost. Responsible for tracking progress against plan, understanding variances and recommending corrective actions. Will help to facilitate analysis.
- Key senior contact for Audit, Control, Risk, IT Security, Vendor Management and other governing / oversight organizations within NT
- Provides proactive leadership and guidance to strengthen controls, assess and mitigate operational risk.
- Leads Audit and any remediation efforts.
- Ensures policies and procedures are defined, effective, and adhered. Ensures IOO activities are in compliance with organizational standards, address audit concerns, and meet regulatory requirements.
- Drives definition and assists in implementation of global best practices.
- Recommends and helps to execute process improvements to mitigate operational risk, improve processes and ensure adherence to controls.
- Performs proactive reviews on processes undergoing Strategic Change.
- Performs Root Cause and trend analysis as it relates to operational oversight.
- Assists in the creation of incident reports and their delivery to clients where appropriate.
- Develops, oversees and publishes control metrics, conducts trend analysis, e.g. errors, ASLs, privacy incidents, etc.
- Assists in the development and presentation of operational risk related training materials
- Drives engagement with stakeholders and performs risk analysis to identify areas for enhancement. Provides recommendations & tracks implementation.
- Collaborates with Business Functions to maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP), address gaps, and oversees maintenance of the Fusion application.
- Engages and leads all resiliency and stability incidents
- Responsible for governance of Vendor oversight activities including internally outsourced activity
- Leads innovation and develops process improvements to mitigate operational risk
- Manages and runs necessary business unit governance meetings. Ensures governance remains appropriate for the oversight of the business and the remediation of key issues.
- Communicates and advocates strategy. Participates in developing strategic plans and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the business.
- Coordinates with other business units to ensure alignment of objectives and strategy.
- Responsible for oversight of functional processes outsourced to global shared service units
- Oversees the operational change management process and assists in operational readiness exercises associated with the onboarding of new business.
