Summary / Role Purpose

OnScale is a team within Ansys responsible for building out the cloud platform enabling Ansys cloud-native offerings and cloud-enablement technology for other teams throughout the company. We are currently seeking an experienced DevSecOps Manager to join the growing OnScale team. The DevSecOps Manager will be responsible for leading the integration of security best practices throughout our development and operations processes. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure a seamless and secure product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both software development and security and is passionate about fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive DevSecOps strategy to ensure the security of our applications, infrastructure, and data throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce security best practices, policies, and standards.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of security tools and technologies to enhance our security posture.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability scans, and provide recommendations for remediation and mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain security metrics and dashboards to measure the effectiveness of our security controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Promote a culture of security awareness and education among team members through training, workshops, and knowledge sharing.
• Manage incident response activities, ensuring timely identification, mitigation, and resolution of security threats.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats, trends, and best practices to continuously evolve our security strategy.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8 years' experience, MS with 6 years' experience, or PhD with 4 years' experience
• In-depth knowledge of security principles, best practices, and industry standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST, CIS).
• Hands-on experience with a variety of security tools and technologies, including vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection systems, and encryption tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, containerization, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD processes, and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
• Experience in managing security operations in a cloud software developmentenvironment.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
