Overview

KUBRA is in growth mode and currently seeking a Manager, Cloud Services to join our Network and Infrastructure Services Team!

As a Manager, Cloud Services, you will be responsible for managing staff, planning, and evaluating team and department activities. The Manager, Cloud Services is also responsible for systems operations; systems administration; security and application automation primarily supporting KUBRA’s single-tenant Customer Communication applications and services.

This is a hybrid role out of our Tempe, Arizona office

  • Contribute to the deployment of our software across multiple implementations.
  • Participate in the planning of test and production environment setup and provisioning processes.
  • Lead the Cloud Services team in achieving established goals and departmental objectives.
  • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job goals; coaching, counseling, and managing performance; as well as developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Foster an environment that emphasizes trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
  • Support DevSecOps and Cloud adoption
  • Support KUBRA’s cloud environments like AWS and Azure and large-scale cloud initiatives
  • Work closely with other Infrastructure and Security teams and ensure that a culture of collaboration is fostered within the team, leading by example
  • Lead the team from the trenches, be a subject matter expert in cloud and cloud adjacent technologies.
  • Lead the team in achieving established goals and departmental objectives
  • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
  • Foster an environment that emphasizes trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort

What kind of person should you be?

What skills do you need?

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator
  • Expert level knowledge in AWS management and operations 
  • 3-5 years of experience in team lead/supervisor/management role
  • 5+ years of experience in Java environments
  • 5+ years of experience with Puppet/Chef/Ansible configuration management systems
  • 5+ years of experience with CloudFormation/Terraform/ARM Templates or other cloud automation technologies
  • Experience managing containers and container orchestration
  • Diverse knowledge covering servers, networks, client server systems, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of mobile platforms and related technologies such as SMS, automated voice, and email is a plus.
  • Degree or equivalent Experience in Computer Information Systems or Information Technology
  • Other Education/Certification/Training preferred: Applicable platform industry certifications for AWS, Azure and related platforms
