Consumer and Marketplace Technology (CMT) drives Nike's digital transformation by partnering with the enterprise to own the strategy & execution for the next generation of technologies that enable Nike's product innovation to meet consumer expectations. Within CMT are Nike's Digital Commerce channels & experiences, including Nike.com, Nike App, NTC + NRC. Within CMT, the Business Operations and Enablement (BOE) team leads various central functions in support of the CMT org. Key functions include: vendor management, business operations, resource and capacity planning, hiring support, highlight storytelling, metric tracking, and communication and engagement for a 600+ size organization with members across the globe.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a dynamic Communications & Engagement Manager who specializes in strategic communications and engagement.

The role works directly for the BOE Director, while also supporting the needs of the Leadership Team (LT) within the CMT organization. We live within Nike's Global Technology (GT) organization. The CMT is focused on crafting consumer facing technologies spanning across Retail, Commerce, Partners & Marketplace, Activity & Innovation, Launch and Privacy.

The candidate needs to have experience in crafting high quality communication deliverables, have worked in a nuanced environment, experience with VP level leadership, innovation for engaging a large organization and a collaborator. Skills involve technical writing, communication calendar generation and execution, management of a team, working across platforms and tools such as Keynote, Workvivo, Asana, Smartsheets.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

This role drives GT and CMT strategic communications including design, content creation, program management and alignment across the GT organization.

Within CMT, this role directly handles: OKRs, quarterly All-Teams meetings, Hackathons, tech talks, blogs, podcast support, wins, metrics, announcements, narratives for leaders, and various engagement tactics.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role is a people manager role that has 1-2 direct(s) and will be a key leader for the Director of the BOE. Within Nike's matrix, you would have touchpoints with various functions which includes: The BOE team, Engineering leadership - VPs, Sr. Directors, Directors across CMT, the GT central communications team, Operations Managers, HR, the Dev. Community. The BOE works in a hybrid environment where the team works from the office three days a week, and at home for two.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Writing, English, Technical Writing or a related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
  • 5+ years of proven experience in content planning and creation for large organizations (500+)
  • Proven track record in engagement tactics in a hybrid situation
  • Experience in crafting high quality communication deliverables
  • Experience working across platforms and tools such as Keynote, Workvivo, Asana, Smartsheets
  • Demonstrable experience building positive working relationships and working successfully in cross-functional teams with varied levels of understanding of analytics
  • Track record of collaboration and experience working directly with team members to define and activate a communication strategy
  • Excellent end to end project management skills, shepherding from kick off to completion
