Manager - Competitive Intelligence (GES)
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Competitive Intelligence, this role is responsible for providing strong competitive intelligence and actionable insights in the Human Capital Management (HCM) Space.
- Develop advanced understanding of competitive technologies and trends in the up market HCM space and become a subject matter Expert (SME)
- Conduct deep competitor assessments - across strategic roadmap, portfolio capabilities, go to market efforts, sales, service delivery and financials - so that the BU can better understand how ADP stacks up and identify opportunities
- Create and maintain competitive intelligence assets with a focus on delivering compelling content and creative storytelling to enable action
- Work cross-departmentally with multiple teams to develop self-service educational content, including delivering competitive training sessions
- Provide informed evaluations of competitors in key strategic dimensions, including technology, product, service, and marketing.
Education/Knowledge/Experience:
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- 5+ years of experience, preferably in the HCM or B2B SaaS industry in a competitive intelligence, Market Insights, consulting or Corporate Strategy role
- Well-organized, data driven, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent deliverables
- Ability to identify strategic needs with little direction
- Executive presence to gain the confidence of business leaders.
- Compelling storyteller: Leverages outstanding interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to present views in a persuasive manner, tailored to audience and objectives
- Familiar with the SaaS/enterprise software market; experience with HCM industry a strong plus

- Strong technical / computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, team-based environments across multiple functions.

- Demonstrate credibility as a subject matter expert in insights rooted in knowledge and experience
- Comfort with reading and using financial statements and strong business acumen
- Attention to detail but possessing practical business leverage mindset rather than a technical/academic research mindset

The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.

Compensations Range for U.S. Nevada Residents: $90,000 - $110,000
