Manager, Compliance

We are looking to hire a Manager, Compliance to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.
We are a rapidly growing, public life sciences company, with both a technology business and a drug discovery business. We're seeking someone who will work with us to turn ideas into action, strategy into tangible executable projects, and policies and training into a compliance program for our company.

What you'll do:

• Partner with business leadership and cross-functional teams to assess strategically potential risks associated with Company's operations and business
• Create, draft, and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Provide guidance on compliance matters to managers and employees
• Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations and ensure that the company's policies and procedures reflect such changes
• Develop (and deliver, as needed) communication and training programs to educate employees on relevant policies and procedures
• Monitor compliance with policies and procedures and provide regular reports to management
• Assist in implementing a system for monitoring compliance with policies and procedures and for reporting any violations or potential violations
• Continuously assess and improve on existing program (including assessing the program's performance, identifying areas for improvement, and making necessary adjustments)
• Document all aspects of the compliance program, including policies, procedures, training materials, and monitoring and reporting processes
• Assist in investigation of potential compliance violations and recommend corrective action

What you should have:

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (law degree a plus)
• At least five years of related work experience in some or all of the following areas: biotech or life sciences compliance, risk, audit, regulatory affairs, project management, etc.
• Working knowledge of relevant laws, including, for example, regulations relating to anti-bribery and anti-corruption, export and sanctions, antitrust, federal contractor compliance, and data privacy

Estimated base salary range (NYC only): $145,000 - $165,000. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
