The Role

Our group, Emerging Technologies Consulting, is a specialized group that scouts for emerging areas having significant impact in the industry. This group champions and creates a level playing field for Cognizant with a create point of view and uses unique approaches in the identified emerging technology areas. This team also defines impactful solution architecture, generates design and implementation approaches in the area. The Emerging Technology group focusses on Hybrid cloud, Metaverse, Crypto, NFT, Augmented reality / Virtual reality, Enterprise Sustainability, Blockchain, 5G enabled transformative architecture.

This group is looking for passionate professionals for the role of Manager - Consulting, Blockchain Engineer. This will be a high visible and impactful role. We are looking for someone who is highly creative, Inquisitive and articulative on emerging technologies and trends. This person should be able to keep track of the happenings in the industry, should be able to understand the concept, convert abstract concepts to an implementable design, and create meaningful Proof of Concepts that can be demonstrable. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for engaging with our clients by offering them applicable solutions they should be adopting to, in the identified emerging technology areas. You by virtue of creating expertise in these cutting-edge solutions, will work with our clients to provide advisory services to define customer specific use case implementation plan and execution support. The ideal candidate will have expertise at least three of these focus areas.

Responsibilities

• Drive providing advisory services on emerging technology areas
• Provide point of view on emerging technology areas
• Identify related platforms and technologies for the given technology area
• Create proof of concepts / pilot solutions
• Create implementable design
• Conduct a value analysis of the solution with respect scenarios
• Present the solutions to key stakeholders
• Compare and contrast market solutions for specific scenarios
• Create business use cases and solution architectures
• Define the processes that are needed for making the solution enterprise grade

Qualifications

• 7 to 9+ years' experience
• Expertise in solution and technical architecture
• Expertise in one or more hyper scalers - GCP, AWS or Azure
  • Expertise in services and offerings related to the emerging technology areas
• Expertise in two or more of the below areas
  • Metaverse, Crypto, NFT, Augmented reality / Virtual reality, Enterprise Sustainability, Blockchain, 5G enabled transformative architecture, Web 3
• Expertise in JSON
• Expertise in one or more cloud based SQL / NoSQL database technologies
• Education - Master's degree in IT / Computer science or related field or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience

Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
