We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Manager of Content Marketing with an appetite for building remarkable brand-level stories and getting the Vertafore message out in market. Our content marketing team is responsible for a wide range of highly impactful content for the web, social media, and marketing campaigns. This role is a people leader and hands-on contributor to Vertafore's marketing and branding initiatives. You'll lead our brand content marketing strategy, manage and inspire a team of content creators, and contribute to our content efforts with execution. This role reports to the Director of Marketing Communications.
Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions include but are not limited to:
- Lead and be a working part of our team of content writers to tell our story to customers, potential customers, industry stakeholders, and more!
- Work with Marketing leadership and other Marketing stakeholders to develop and execute a brand content marketing strategy and editorial calendar.
- Create original, compelling content for a variety of channels and audiences, such as bylines, thought-leadership pieces, social media, web pages, blogs, video scripts, emails, infographics, and other materials. Translate complex and technical concepts into easy-to-digest, audience-forward assets.
- Manage content projects from idea through publication, and deliver work within time, budget, and resource constraints.
- Be a brand messaging and style advisor for the Marketing organization.
- Manage KPIs and metrics to gauge content effectiveness and make improvements.
- Facilitate appropriate stakeholder and integrate feedback to ensure content meets goals and expectations.
- Track industry trends, influencers, and topics of interest as they relate to key corporate messages in order to develop related content strategies.
- Serve as a Marketing Communications representative on cross-functional project teams.

Qualifications:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills. 4 β 6 years of relevant B2B content creation experience, preferably in a software or technology industry.
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring a team.
- Proven track-record delivering high-quality content for multiple channels. Ability to conceptualize content holistically (think visually as well as linguistically) a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; able to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver.
- Understanding of marketing and communication theory and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of marketing metrics with the ability to analyze data and KPIs to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
- Prior experience with marketing automation technology (ex. Marketo) appreciated.
Β Additional Requirements and Details:
- BA/BS degree in communication, English, journalism, marketing, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
