Manager, Content Marketing

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Manager to help scale Alma’s content marketing discipline, positioning us as a thought leader in the mental healthcare space. Your work will encompass both our provider and consumer audiences, growing top-of-funnel leads and brand awareness as well as driving mid-funnel conversion through developing content ideas that can be turned into whitepapers, blog content, videos, and other educational materials/thought leadership. You will work closely with the Senior Manager of Content Marketing to establish content marketing strategy key themes that resonate with our audiences.

The ideal candidate loves storytelling as much as they love data. They will understand digital best practices for content creation, publishing, and distribution, including an understanding of how to measure success and optimize. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Content Marketing, and partner closely with key stakeholders across growth, lifecycle, product marketing, and brand to build robust content programming. 

What you’ll do:

  • Work with the Senior Content Marketing Manager to develop and execute content strategy across our provider and consumer audiences 
  • Partner very closely with the growth and lifecycle marketing teams to ideate and develop content themes that ladder back to our audiences, brand voice, and business strategy 
  • Help source freelance writers and other vendors to help bring content ideas to life, inclusive of briefing, editing, and quality control 
  • Direct freelance and vendor teams to ensure marketing content is rooted in audience insight and brand priorities 
  • Pitch content ideas such as whitepapers, blog posts, quizzes, video ideas, and others 
  • Develop distribution strategies to cut down larger pieces across our ecosystem 
  • Partner with SEO Manager to leverage traffic-based engagement and health metrics to guide overall content web strategy 
  • Own the editorial calendar, including tent-pole and always on content like our blog and The Digest 

Who you are:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in content marketing and/or media/editorial strategy or copywriting 
  • You have strong editorial and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • You are able to extract short-form content from long-form content, repurposing content for different uses, formats, audiences, and platforms
  • You understand digital best practices for content creation, publishing, and distribution, including various tools and approaches to CMS and SEO
  • You have a proven ability to tailor messages to the varied media and channels 
  • You love storytelling and the art of using content to build brands 
  • You are able to make complex subjects clear, easy to grasp, and compelling to consume
  • You enjoy staying current with the latest industry trends to pitch content ideas on timely topics 
  • You are passionate about inclusion and leveraging content to democratize information
  • You are passionate about our mission and making mental healthcare more accessible

Salary Band: $100,000 - $125,000
