THE OPPORTUNITY

Medely is currently seeking a Manager, Credit to add to our growing Financial Operations team. This is a high impact, managerial role that will report directly to the Director, Credit & Collections and partner with our Collections, Enterprise Sales, Small Business Sales, Accounting, FP&A, and Customer Support teams to rapidly grow revenue while minimizing bad debt exposure. 

What you will do:

  • Managing the credit policy & processes– 25%

  • Portfolio maintenance – 25%

  • Develop and enhance market risk tools and reports – 25%

  • Building and developing a team of analysts – 25%

  • Drives understanding and ensures adherence of Medely’s Credit Policy across the organization.

  • Collaborates constructively with commercial teams to assess business opportunities balanced against financial risk.

  • Performs in-depth analysis to manage new and existing portfolio relationships. 

  • Reviews counterparty information including financial statements to determine credit worthiness, effectively communicate risks, and develop a strong point of view of a company’s financial strength.

  • Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of credit analysis tools and methodologies.

  • Provides guidance to the Collections Team and ensures alignment of collections strategies with risk portfolio goals.

  • Presents in business reviews with Leadership Team, providing portfolio status, metrics, insights and recommendations on risks associated with customers.

  • Manage credit insurance policies, including support on claims and coverage reviews. Serve as internal liaison between Medely and insurance broker/insurers.

  • Motivates and develops direct reports to ensure success of the Credit Team.

The skills we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other analytical fields; MBA a plus.

  • 5+ years progressive credit underwriting and risk management experience required

  • Experience building out teams and developing high potential analysts required

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements, interpret commercial credit bureau reports, analyze trade experience, and utilize external financial resources to underwrite credit requests

  • Experience working with trade credit insurance is a plus

  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong communication skills

  • Proven ability to self-direct and quickly respond to changing priorities

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel

  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus

  • Prefer experience in high growth startup environments

The expected base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000.

This position may be eligible for additional compensation and benefits including equity, bonus, health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, floating holidays, and paid holidays); and benefits. Actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by law.
