About the team

Wealthsimple Operations is the business unit that provides the back-end technology operations and platforms that power Wealthsimple’s products. It originated as a brokerage and continues to expand to deliver a wider breadth of financial services to our clients.

Our crypto product suite is rapidly expanding which increases the demands on the operations function. As the Manager of Crypto Operations you will report to the Director Crypto Operations. You will act as the ‘right hand’ to the Director independently executing on key initiatives and helping to inform the strategic direction of the team. Our ideal hire is a skilled problem solver with deep executional experience. This person can see the big picture understand complex projects and build operation best practices to support rapid product developments.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of reconciliation processes and operational processes to safeguard assets

• Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to support the ongoing operations that come with new product feature launches.

• Build new processes tools and policies to power a rapidly evolving product

• Support key strategic initiatives for the Crypto Operations team including: Development of team strategy and OKRs quarterly planning and prioritization of initiatives and resourcing and staffing

• Own and remediate ad-hoc initiatives and issues as required

• Collaborate mentor and coach crypto operation specialists and associates

• Support daily operational processes when required

We're looking for someone who:

• Has strong business operations/project management capabilities

• Is a skilled problem solver and executer can independently structure and solve complex issues and then drive solutions to execution

• Is an effective communicator simplifies complex challenges and articulates clear requirements in a concise manner

• Thrives in a fast-paced ambiguous environment

• Is naturally curious; if something seems off they want to figure out what’s going on

• Takes ownership and have positive attitude - you will work in a highly collaborative environment and not “that’s not my area of responsibility”

• Bonus: has 2+ years of operational reconciliation focused experience

• Additional Bonus: Crypto industry experience
