About The Position
About The Position
The Manager, CTG Operations is responsible for all aspects of managing the safe and reliable operations and maintenance of the CTG Energy Centers. This includes the conservative operations of the facilities and associated equipment, ensuring personnel safety and asset protection, direct supervision of energy center co-workers and contractors on site, engineering support and direct supervision of engineering resources on site, and compliance to all environmental, regulatory, and legal regulations and policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Continual assessment and ultimate responsibility for the health and condition of the CTG facilities and equipment
- Conservative operational decision making and asset protection
- Safety of all co-workers on site
- Direct supervision of plant personnel in all daily operations and maintenance activities.
- Planning and scheduling work activities including ordering of parts, materials, supplies, vendor support and plant WPA.
- Provide necessary engineering support and analysis for CTG equipment as well as direct supervision of engineers while on site
- Coordinate with Energy Management & Trading on a daily basis to coordinate the generation offers into the MISO Day Ahead and Real Time Energy markets
- Coordinate with Transmission to schedule maintenance of switchyard equipment
- Develop and execute a strategy for the long-term asset health of the CTG equipment
- Develop and execute a 5-year O&M and CapEx budget for all energy center expenses
- Assure plant compliance with environmental, regulatory, and legal policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or related technical discipline is required. Five years of relevant experience (e.g., in power generation, CTG operations/maintenance, technical heavy industrial experience, etc.) is required. Two years of supervisory or project management experience is required. Previous supervisory experience in the power generation/production industry preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Must possess good leadership, organization, decision-making, human relations, and communication skills. Maintain flexible schedule to meet plant operational needs. Computer skills are mandatory along with computer-based maintenance management processes familiarity.
