WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a results-oriented, motivated and strategic retention expert focused on retaining and growing our existing customer base. Specifically, you will play a pivotal role in helping us build our Enterprise renewals team, creating and executing retention strategies while crushing your quarterly targets.  

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for managing a team of Renewal Managers focused on educating our customers about the power of Salesloft, assessing customer health, and renewing customer partnership agreements. You must be able to forecast revenue, create effective processes, and have a passion for fostering and growing talent. To thrive in this role, you will keep up with industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

THE TEAM:

Our Renewals team is a critical part of Salesloft’s Customer Success department who are all aligned on one vision and mission:

As an integral part of the Success team, the Renewals team consists of results-oriented SaaS sales professionals with a strong customer focus and a desire to win. THE SKILL SET:

  • 5+ years in Customer Renewals, Account Management, or related role.
  • 2+ years experience in a management or people-leader role preferred. 
  • Expertise in negotiating a wide-range of complex contracts and legal discussions with a focus on creating win/win commercial options for customers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to build internal partnerships and gain buy-in.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to navigate conflict and foster team-based trust.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor your message to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risky customer situations, enlist internal resources for support and create winning renewal plays. 
  • Experience with Salesforce is huge plus, Salesloft is big bonus.

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Participate in our daily training cadence, where you will learn our software and all the skills necessary to set you up for success
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-6-90 plan, meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team, and delve into your customer book of business
  • Get to know our customers by shadowing customer calls and meetings
  • Meet, spend time with, and get to know your team!
  • Meet key partners in Customer Success, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Executives etc. - they will be key relationships for you throughout your renewal cycles
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Manage and coach a high-performing renewals team, identifying career growth and development opportunities
  • Maintain accurate quarterly revenue forecast and build processes to drive the renewal motion
  • Partner with internal teams (Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Executives, Finance) to effectively surface customer risks and create winning renewal plays
  • Focus on understanding, communicating, and removing blockers to the team’s success
  • Confidently assess potential retention risks and support Renewal Managers in commercial negotiations with customers

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Hire, onboard, and develop top-tier talent 
  • Develop enablement resources to support the renewals team in customer negotiations and pricing conversations from small to large, complex customer renewals
  • Be the voice of the customer - create and present effective executive-level presentations highlighting retention opportunities and customer needs
  • Craft and execute innovative revenue strategies to drive growth and retention across the customer base
  • Highlight renewal and growth wins across the organization
  • Consistently meet or exceed your retention targets

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be considered a top-performing Manager by effectively managing and developing a best-in-class renewals team
  • Consistently exceed retention targets and be seen as an excellent internal business partner
  • Set an example for new RMs and take an active role in motivating new Lofters

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
