Manager, Data & Advanced Analytics Technology

Summary

The Manager, Data & Advanced Analytics role will partner with business stakeholders and decision makers to develop solutions to support their analytical needs, business insights, and facilitate the adoption of machine learning and artificial intelligence. The insights and support provided by this individual will be to help understand current and evolving trends within the industry and help shape DSI's decision support strategies and systems. The position requires a solid understanding of business drivers and the ability to translate these into meaningful analytical tools to support strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

- Develop, manage, and be accountable for the data and advanced analytics environments that support DSI's functional reporting solutions. This includes making recommendations about the future landscape of DSI's Business Intelligence, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence landscape and communicating those changes effectively throughout the organization.

- Lead the development efforts for reporting and analysis solutions and provide enhancements and development support to new and existing systems. Works with and provides direction to others including onsite and offshore consultants to identify activities required to build enhancements and upgrades through new and effective processes and solutions.

- Partner with IT, stakeholders, and vendors to provide a single point of contact to support business objectives and work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of our technology roadmap and the execution of that strategy including upgrades and enhancements.

- Demonstrate high level proficiency for emerging Business Intelligence, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technology while providing support for existing systems, aligning with toolset future roadmaps, keep informed of latest trends and developments in technologies and maintaining internally developed solutions.

- Execute and manage initiatives assigned by IT management which may include cross-functional team membership, emerging projects to support business needs, and cross functional system integration.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

- Bachelor's Degree in fields, such as Computer Science, Information Technology required

- Master's Degree preferred

Experience Qualifications

- 4 or More Years hands-on experience in applications development, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics with emphasis on Microsoft Azure suite (i.e., PowerBI, SAS, Azure Machine Learning Studio, R and Python) required. required

- 4 or More Years hands-on experience with enterprise data warehouse solutions including integration of complex data sources for the deployment of decision support systems. Install, configure and test these new systems. required

- Experience developing POC prototypes, presenting, advising, and project management of the build out of a wide variety of systems. required

- Experience with commercial pharmaceutical / business information (SHS, Veeva CRM, Veeva Network, etc.), Supply Chain, Finance and HR required

Travel

Ability to travel up to 5% Occasional need to travel to for meetings and seminars
