Manager, Data Analytics
Job Description
- Manage team of analysts, including coaching, mentoring and performing general management tasks
- Define, design, develop and implement innovative data, analytics and visualization solutions for customers
- Align integrated customer data and requirements with our own business analytic and reporting tools and generate customized actionable business intelligence
- Identify project tasks and provide task estimates
- Research and develop best practices in business analytics to drive quantified business value
- Develop case studies capturing business value realized by customers
- Work with development teams to execute advanced analytic solutions based on customer requirements and goals
- Develop test plans and test solutions to validate met requirements
- Provide end user support in post deployment
- Assess and evaluate all feedback to ensure that issues are addressed correctly
- Coach, train, and mentor CIA team members to ensure they have a full understanding of business analytics and reporting tools
- Exhibit expertise in reporting tools and lead initiatives to understand and utilize new and upcoming features within these tools that could benefit our customers
- Other tasks and activities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or Industrial Engineering
- Demonstrated experience creating advanced reports and dashboards by applying strong technical knowledge of features and functions of business intelligence tools
- Advanced experience with BI Visualization tools (MicroStrategy a plus) for reporting and developing complex metrics
- Advanced SQL knowledge
- Background in retail analytics preferred
- Knowledge of category management or supply chain management is a plus
- 1-3 years of management experience including coaching, mentoring, and training technical employees
- Outstanding communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of an organization
- Ability to present strategic information, data, and results in a clear and understandable manner utilizing methods appropriate to various forums
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, informal environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for delivering results is set high
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
- Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday
- Placing and receiving phone calls
- Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
- May require 15% of travel or more, as needed
