Manager, Data and Analytics

Jockey is hiring a Manager, Data and Analytics to serve as a strategic IT leader. This position will be responsible for the creation and sustainment of IT Data Governance policies, Architecture of new Data Warehouse / Data Lake, and Analytics. This position will work with the ERP and Integrations teams to ensure data governance policies are met and data storage is architected to meet the needs of Jockey, ensuring consistent reporting across the company. This position will also work with IT and Business team members to design, architect, and deploy solutions focused on data warehousing, data modeling, master data management, data governance, and data analytics leading to consistent reporting across all functions of the Jockey business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Lead the development of the overall data and analytics strategy at Jockey.
• Develop deep knowledge of core data domains and drive value from the intersection of different functional views of the Jockey business.
• Collaborate with IT and Business team members to design, architect, and deploy solutions focused on data warehousing, data modeling, master data management, data governance, and data analytics.
• Adhere to all requirements to ensure timely and accurate entry, delivery, and integration with downstream/related systems.
• Troubleshoot data and analytics issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve issues.
• Design, develop and implement sophisticated data analytic solutions to ensure the ongoing integrity of our revenue stream and customer experience.
• Lead projects with a team of IT, business users, and vendors.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to determine data needs and oversee overall data management.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to manage system/data processing workflows.
• Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all technical staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
• Directs and prioritizes the workload of the Data and Analytics teams.
• Lead career development and succession management efforts to ensure retention, motivation, and engagement of current and future staff and managers.
• Provide coaching, performance management, and career development for team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Identifying opportunities for data alignment and re-use.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data management and analytics and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with data security policies and procedures.
• Understanding business issues and related impact to be able to prioritize and deliver solutions & support that is cost effective, efficient, and continuously improving to delivery incremental benefits to the customers.
• Being an effective advocate of the use of technology through sharing, defending, and promoting his or her views and thoughts, and presenting information in a highly credible manner to clients, stakeholders, and employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in the areas of data governance, architecture, modeling, warehousing, and analytics.
• Experience with business driven or self-service BI, using tools similar to Power BI, Tableau, Birst, Business Objects, or other.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
• Extensive experience in:
  • Engaging business customers & managing customer expectations
  • Developing & managing strategic relationships with product and Service vendors
• Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills.
• Management experience including dealing with budget, vendors, and helping create a positive work environment.
