Manager, Data Engineering

ServiceTitan is looking for an amazing Data Engineering Manager to help take our Customer Success solutions to the next level, provide smarter tools, and minimize risk from diverse data requests. Prioritization of ticketing, workload balancing, forecasting, and inter-department coordination play a heavy role in this job. Data concerns are a blocker for most of our customers, so delivering high-quality, timely solutions is absolutely crucial and greatly appreciated by both our customers and our company.
What you'll do:

• Launch and manage an ETL tool to more efficiently & effectively transform our customers data into ServiceTitan
• Drive efficiencies through code improvement, consistency, automation, service delivery, and scalability
• Prioritize script development that will efficiently and accurately solve data issues from user mistakes and non-optimal workflow habits in the ServiceTitan platform
• Collaborate with different departments to provide new streamlined tools for internal processes
• Partnering with our product engineering team to improve utilization of tools
• Manage a team of customer facing SQL Developers and Data Engineers, and responsible for talent management, KPI achievement, escalation management, and customer satisfaction
• Provide trend analysis on issues and drive action plans to resolution
• Research new software and automation for improved SLA and experience
• Identify and execute on processes that drive scalability

What you'll need:

• 5+ years of experience with SQL, ideally T-SQL and ETL Tools
• 5+ years of Java and Javascript experience
• 5+ years of team management experience or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience working across departments for troubleshooting data-related issues
• 2+ years of working with ticketing systems, ideally Jira
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Expert level understanding of database and data modeling concepts
• A strong forward-thinking approach to design
• Demonstrate success with driving organizational change and aligning your teams with other teams in the organization
• Strive to seek out more than just the problem at hand and develop repeatable solutions
