This role will be based out of our facility in Oak Brook, Illinois, with the ability to work remotely/telecommuting as needed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Responsible for leading and managing the Advanced Analytics Data Engineering team, including providing technical leadership and expertise.
• The data engineering team is comprised of data engineers who partner with business stakeholders, data scientists, data visualization developers, data quality analysts, and others to design, develop and deploy predictive models, advanced visualizations, and other capabilities to support CG's strategic business priorities and to enable broad access to trusted data across the organization through the Data and Analytics Platform.
• Lead, manage, and coach highly technical data engineers, including identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new talent.
• Lead and directly engage in the design, development, and deployment of data engineering solutions, including the ingestion of complex, high-volume and high-velocity data and the productionalization of advanced analytics models and capabilities, providing technical leadership and expertise.
• Drive development and execution of data engineering strategy and best practices.
• Lead technical engagements with business unit and function stakeholders.
• Identify and manage relationships with outside data engineering resources and vendors.
• Be a catalyst for data and analytics across CG.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field of study plus five (5) years of experience in job offered, data engineering or related role.
Must have experience:

• Distributed data technologies in cloud environments
• Designing and developing curated datasets as well as providing platforms for data science, data visualization, and analytics
• Delivering complex, large-scale projects
• Expert knowledge of data engineering methods and best practices
• Advanced expertise in Python and SQL.
