Manager Data Engineering (Helix)

As an engineer of the Data Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for analysis, design & execution including processes to ensure a consistent and optimal use of our data technologies for various customer facing applications. This is a strong “hands-on” position requiring very effective technical skills, leadership skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee sprint planning, retrospective and daily scrum meetings

Work closely with product, sales, and implementations on project scope and scheduling

Instill best practices for software development, assure adapter designs meet requirements, and deliver high quality work on time

Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to

Act as a Core Adapter technical resource to customers, prospects, and internal teams

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

7+ years of previous development experience needed

Must have at least 2+ years’ experience managing development teams

Experience in a client interfacing role required

Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Knowledge and experience in the banking industry preferred

Experience integrating applications with core banking platforms desired

Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain patient with non-technical customers
