Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Science Manager to lead and grow our data science team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing data science projects, mentoring team members, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions. The role demands a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills to ensure the successful execution of our data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management: Lead a team of data scientists and analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Project Delivery: Oversee the development and deployment of data science models and solutions from ideation to production, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, understanding their needs, setting expectations, and delivering value-driven solutions.
• Strategy & Innovation: Contribute to the strategic direction of the data science practice by identifying new opportunities for AI/ML applications, and ensuring the latest trends and technologies are incorporated into our solutions.
• Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on expertise in data science methodologies, including machine learning, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and data engineering.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with data engineering, business intelligence, and other teams to ensure a cohesive approach to solving client challenges.
• Performance Management: Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and help team members grow in their roles by providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in data science with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, with experience in ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and big data tools (e.g., Spark, Databricks) is a plus.
• Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Industry Experience: Experience in industries such as finance, retail, healthcare, or others is preferred, along with knowledge of applying data science to real-world business problems.
• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and influence senior management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale production deployments and system integration.
• Knowledge of emerging AI/ML trends and technologies.
• Proven track record of delivering client-centric solutions.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and make data-driven decisions.
