Position Overview:

Verra Mobility's DevOps engineers have a track record of consistently and iteratively building automation solutions to make software development and product implementation go faster. We are looking for a supervisor who can build capabilities within the team around efficient and maintainable automation systems, administering servers at scale, and declaratively building cloud infrastructure with code.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and development of DevOps initiatives and strategies that optimize our development processes
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders and team members to ensure that DevOps principles and best practices are implemented
  • Manage and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities and career growth.
  • Architect and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available DevOps infrastructure on Kubernetes, utilizing containerization with Docker to support our growing application landscape
  • Actively participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are enforced and adequate code coverage and technical documentation is maintained.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to DevOps, CI/CD, and DevOps infrastructure automation. Proactively propose and implement innovative solutions to optimize software delivery and deployment.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for infrastructure management, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD), monitoring, and incident management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a similar degree program
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of proven experience in DevOps engineering leadership role with the ability to lead and develop high performing teams.
  • 10+ years' experience in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • Proficient with containerization technologies and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience developing in an Agile SCRUM environment.
  • DevSecOps experience is preferred
  • Extensive experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Git Version Control System, Jenkins, and Sonar Cloud
  • Kubernetes and containerization experience
  • Experience in Terraform, ARM, Bicep infrastructure declarations, and middleware configuration scripting.
  • Full stack knowledge of TCP/IP, Linux, IT Security, Application Monitoring, and Performance testing
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
