The AES Corporation is looking for a Digital Finance Business Relationship Manager to join our growing Clean Energy organization. We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented professional that will be responsible for partnering with the finance and accounting teams to define, prioritize, manage, and support all financial systems related initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to execute a transformative vision that integrates technology, data, process, business analysis and implementing and operationalizing digital initiatives. This role is the primary liaison between the finance organization and the digital organization, so he/she will engage with key partners in Finance to understand the areas for improvement and work with internal groups within Digital and external suppliers to find solutions that create value.
This position must support AES internal partners in digitizing the existing operational processes and will pivot from strategy development to operational/tactical implementation with a proven track record of driving change in organizations. This means that the person selected will work closely with Business Leaders and Digital Teams to strengthen collaboration and drive a culture of creativity, innovation, and shared ownership across the business and digital teams so that holistic, innovative, and value-driven strategies are created and deliver their intended business value results.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Key Product Owner for SAP Finance and related integration with other SAP modules for Clean Energy.
- Represent Clean Energy in front of Global Digital/Finance teams with matters related to financial management systems, ensuring quality, stability, scalability of those systems.
- Coordinate the sequencing and overall management of various finance systems project running simultaneously to evaluate interdependencies between multiple initiatives.
- Act as the principal technology advisor to the Finance function and a champion for identifying, leading, and driving digital transformation.
- Actively work with Business Leaders to capture technology needs and requirements in their function that will advance business performance.
- Manage all system support and enhancement efforts in the Finance area. Manage directly or indirectly the resources in various capacities involved in supporting and enhancing the financial system landscape.
- Report on business value results of technology related projects; measure and communicate business value results on a regular basis.
- Develop deep knowledge of the Operations Function and build both horizontal and vertical relationships with Business and Digital Leaders.
- Fostering relationships and working collaboratively with enterprise architects, data scientists and software providers to develop technology enablement business capability roadmaps.
Position Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field
- 10 years of professional experience in Information Technology
- 5 years of experience in project management activities
- SAP Finance certified and past experience implementing SAP
- Strong collaboration, teamwork, and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization
- Experience in working in large cross boarder projects
