General Summary

As Manager, Digital Marketing you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for digital marketing and education initiatives. This comprehensive role includes daily interaction and collaboration with the Digital team members, and other teams across the brand, including Content Marketing, Events & Partnerships, Sales, Customer Success, Creative, and Product to communicate the value of MakeMusic Cloud to the target market.

In close collaboration with the Director, Marketing, and other members of the Digital Marketing and Content Marketing teams, the Manager, Digital Marketing creates and delivers impactful strategic digital marketing campaigns for key company initiatives to increase the value, visibility, and performance of these products in the market. Through collaboration, in-depth product knowledge of the products and customers, the Manager, Digital Marketing develops strategies and leads the Digital Marketing team to maximize exposure and adoption of products within the market via the websites, social media, email, blogs, and digital advertising strategies.

You will work directly with the Digital Marketing and Content Marketing Team Members, amongst others. This position reports directly to the Director, Marketing.

Core Functions

  • Lead and provide guidance to Digital Marketing team.
  • Manage Social Media Manager and Email Marketing team members to help develop strategies and best practices to engage current and potential customers.
  • Manage Digital Advertising team member and help advise on campaign strategy, budget, and testing across platforms.
  • Continually test, iterate, and optimize the front end websites for increased traffic, capture, and conversion.
  • Develop and maintain WordPress sites, coordinating with creative, content, and engineering teams.
  • Manage and optimize campaigns continuously, running A/B and multivariate tests for ads, website, and landing pages.
  • Champion continuous improvement of front end website development process including dynamic content, targeting, personalization, and template development.
  • Assist the Marketing and Sales teams with digital marketing campaign landing pages and updates.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and analytics including performance summary, multivariate testing, and conversion campaign tracking.
  • Continually monitor campaign performance and the effectiveness of marketing content and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage digital marketing content execution, including websites, emails, blogs, gated content (ebooks, white papers), social media, and digital advertising.
  • Nurture strong relationships between Marketing and Creative to support content generation.

Requirements

  • Data-driven and creative self-starter who uses insights and analysis to guide strategies, experiment, learn and improve.
  • Significant experience in the music education industry; this person must be intimately familiar with our audience.
  • Extreme familiarity with MakeMusic Cloud, Finale, and Alfred Music.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of digital marketing experience.
  • History of managing website, social media, and advertising communication strategies and implementation.
  • Experience using HTML and CSS to develop email templates and landing pages.
  • Strong history of using CMS platforms, Wordpress, and testing tools to manage website optimizations.
  • Demonstrated experience tracking data, including website, social media, and advertising metrics, web analytics tools (Google Analytics), Adwords, and Tag Manager.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing including test design, traffic splits, deployment and results.
  • Project management skills including managing digital marketing calendars, and creative and data needs with tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success with SEO, SEM, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Experience conceptualizing and executing a content strategy that drives outbound and inbound marketing.
  • Strong presentation skills; this role involves both internal and customer facing presentations.
  • Passionate about crafting and delivering impactful digital marketing campaigns in a competitive SaaS environment with a global audience.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to complete projects on time and on budget.

Compensation

Peaksware/MakeMusic is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $73,934 - $123,223. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment that is well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned with adequate ventilation and a noise level that is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
